Demetria, a San Antonio native, joined Traveling Tails in April of 2007. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Biology, focused on ecology, evolution and conservation. She also has many years of experience as a veterinary receptionist and technician. She currently shares her home with her cat, Turtle and her two dogs, Harley and Dutch. Demetria's pastimes include hiking, mountain biking, swimming, flag football, kickball, volleyball and outdoor festivals. Her other interests involve French language and culture, as well as archaeology and cultural anthropology. Demetria acts as our operations manager and troubleshoots our computers and practice software, as well as, most of the clinic equipment for us. She also acts as a backup receptionist/technician when needed.
Molly joined our Traveling Tails family in 2017 and has been in the veterinary field since 2013. She has had many years of experience in customer service and her passion for animals shines bright. When she’s not working, she adores spending time with her beautiful daughter Mia and fiancé Jerry. Their family doesn’t end there, they have 4 fur babies, Bordeaux a Weimaraner, 2 cats named Chico and Isabella and a bird names Rupert.
Suzie joined Traveling Tails in January 2008 bringing over 10 years of veterinary customer service with her. She is a native to San Antonio from a large close knit family with many pets growing up. She is a proud mother of two grown, married, wonderful children. She has one beautiful granddaughter and another granddaughter on the way! Her close knit family has grown into thirty plus and counting. Suzi has always had a love of animals which makes her job so rewarding. Her current four legged furry family consists of rescues; Annie ( a 14 year old Yorkie Terrier Mix ) and Nellie ( a 3 year old Shih Tzu, Yorkie Mix)... and a couple of neighborhood cats, Midnight and Sampson. In Suzie's words "Who could ask for a better job than being given the opportunity to work with our sweet four legged friends! "
Peggy is a proud mom of 2 daughters and 5 furr babies; 3 Huskies, and 2 Poodles. Peggy chose to work in the Veterinary field due to her love for all animals. Not only is she working at Traveling Tails Veterinary Clinic, she is currently taking online classes to get her BA in Health Care Administration. During Peggy's free time she loves to swim, work in the yard, counted cross stitch and anything outdoor related! Peggy also loves to lose herself in a good book as well as travel every 2-3 years with her daughters!
Marilyn is from the Midwest, Southern Illinois area. She has spent most of her life as a mother to six children, and now as a grandmother to 9, soon to be 10, grandchildren. Always a working mother and grandmother, she has had careers in the social services field, in the healthcare field as a pharmacy technician, and in her younger years in the restaurant industry. Her foray into the veterinary career field began when she met and married her husband, a veterinarian. Since chasing after the grandchildren, to the Seattle area, the Tucson/ Phoenix area, and now San Antonio to be closer to the family. She makes her home with her husband and two dogs, with frequent visits from the grandkids!
Mairead has been a Veterinary Technician for 23 years. She started teching for Dr. Tommack when she first started Traveling Tails Veterinary Clinic. Mairead takes great pride in taking care of our clients pets as if they were her very own. When Mairead is not here she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys. She also enjoys working out, fishing, and anything outdoors.
Veterinary Technician, LVT
Alison joined us as a technician in March 2014. Her dad was in the army for 21 years so she has been able to see the world. She graduated high school in Belgium and continued her education here in San Antonio. Her degrees are in Veterinary Technology and Business Administration. She became a licensed veterinary technician in 2015. Alison has two chihuahua rescues; Lia & Harriet who she considers to be her very own daughters. Alison's goals are to educate clients on the best care for their pets, control pet population, and help San Antonio become a no kill city!
Taylor has been working with animals since she was 18 years old. She has had a passion for animals since she was a little girl. One of Taylor's many goals is to open a elderly dog sanctuary for terminally ill pets, she also wants to obtain her LVT license in the near future. She looks forward to meeting you and your pets!
Maia joined our team early November of 2016. She was a volunteer for the Boerne Animal Shelter as a dog walker for five years! Maia is a native to San Antonio, she grew up having dachshunds but currently she shares her home with her cat, Bugaboo. Maia loves working with animals and treats them as if they are her own !
