Tracy Tommack DVM/ Practice Owner

Dr. Tommack is the founder of Traveling Tails Veterinary Clinic.  Dr. Tommack is a native San Antonian, graduating from Churchill High School. She continued her education by earning a B.S in both Veterinary Science and Biomedical Science followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M in 1999.  Dr. Tommack has a special interest in internal medicine, general surgery and behavior counseling. She and her husband Mike have been married for 15  years, and have  two daughters:  Taylor (11) and Tatum (8.) An animal lover of course, her fur family consists of her mix breed Sonic and three cats Hope, Pumpkin and Spice.   She has recently also acquired 4 chickens.  Dr. Tommack's hobbies include: working out, photography, and snow skiing.

Amy Priour DVM

Dr. Priour has been with Traveling Tails since  2004.  She grew up in Kerrville acquiring an appreciation of wildlife and the outdoors.  Dr. Priour had dreams of becoming a veterinarian and therefore attended Texas A & M.  She received her B.S. in both Animal Science and Veterinary Science followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001.  Upon graduation, she began practicing at a mixed animal clinic in Wimberley, Texas.  Priour and her husband Matt welcomed their first child Vivian into the world in January 2004 and their son Raleigh, in July 2007.

Having an extensive family in Kerrville, they moved back home in 2009 where she continued practicing at a small animal clinic.  In February 2011, Dr. Priour rejoined our practice working part time, since she missed working with the Traveling Tails team and their great clientele.  Dr. Priour's interests in veterinary medicine include: internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and cytology.  She shares her home with an adorable kitty named Cleopatra.  Her hobbies include:  camping, fishing, hunting, working out and cooking.

Lynn Dumas DVM

Dr. Dumas joined our Practice in September 2013.  She grew up in Tinton Falls, New Jersey where she developed a passion for helping pets through many years of volunteering at a small animal practice.  She attended Prairie View A & M University, just north of Houston, for undergraduate studies and received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  She continued her studies at Auburn University College of Veteirnary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1998.  Dr. Dumas has worked in small animal private practice and in emergency medicine for 10 years in Memphis, Tennessee.  In 2007 she married her husband Reginald, a native Texan.  They relocated to San Antonio in 2008 inspired by the desire to raise their two children, Raelyn (5) and R'Jalen (4) closer to extended family.  Her fur babies consist of a toy Poodle, Remington, a Dashshund/Chihuahua mix, Averie and two cats Jo Jo and Josie.  Her interests in Veterinary Medicine include pediatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, and behavior modification and assistance.  Her hobbies include journaling, writing, baking and of course her children!!

Veterinary Technician Karen W.

Karen is from Philomath, Oregon originally.  During her freshman to senior years she worked in a veterinary hospital cleaning kennels after school.   She attended Northwest Nazarene College for a year where she studied Christian Education.  During the holidays she continued to work at a veterinary clinic.  After attending one year at Delta College of Business & Technology she decided she just might be meant for the veterinary field as a career.  Karen went back to work in a veterinary clinic and steadily trained and worked her way up to being a Technician.  Shortly after that she met her husband and had their wonderful son.  They now reside in Converse Texas with six cats, a dog, a gerbil, and a fish.  Karen has over 20 years of veterinary technician experience, and it is very obvious that caring for animals is one of her passions. She can't wait to meet you and your wonderful pets at Traveling Tails Veterinary Clinic.

Alison G., LVT

Alison joined us as a technician in March 2014. Her dad was in the army for 21 years so she has been able to see the world. She graduated high school in Belgium and continued her education here in San Antonio. Her degrees are in Veterinary Technology and Business Administration. She became a licensed veterinary technician in 2015. Alison has two chihuahua rescues; Lia & Harriet who she considers to be her very own daughters. Alison's goals are to educate clients on the best care for their pets, control pet population, and help San Antonio become a no kill city!

Melody joined our team early in 2012 as a kennel technician.  She has a deep love of animals and truly enjoys helping and caring for them.  Melody has previous experience working at Petco for five years until getting the position with Traveling Tails.  She lives with her four kitties Luigi, Misty, Chelsea and Tippicanoe!  Melody is a dedicated, hard working and above all caring member of our team and an asset to our practice.

Suzi joined Traveling Tails in January 2008 bringing over 10 years of veterinary customer service with her.  She is a native San Antonian from a very large family with many pets growing up.  She has always had a great love of animals which makes her job so rewarding.  Her current four legged family consists of Abby (9 year old lab), Brewster (10 year old Scottish Dear Hound), and her most recent addition Annie (10 year old terrier mix)...add a couple of rescue birds and a few neighborhood cats to complete her furry family.  Who could ask for a better job than being given the opportunity to work with our sweet four legged friends!

Operations Manager Demetria B.

Demetria, a San Antonio native, joined Traveling Tails in April of 2007. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Biology, focused on ecology, evolution and conservation. She also has many years of experience as a veterinary receptionist and technician. She currently shares her home with her cat, Turtle and her two dogs, Harley and Dutch. Demetria's pastimes include hiking, mountain biking, swimming, flag football, kickball, volleyball and outdoor festivals. Her other interests involve French language and culture, as well as archaeology and cultural anthropology. Demetria acts as our operations manager and troubleshoots our computers and practice software, as well as, most of the clinic equipment for us. She also acts as a backup receptionist/technician when needed.
